Research within our community shows us that adverse reactions from a mesh implant can begin at any time, from the time of surgery to many years later. This reflects the struggle we have to be heard, seen and validated, not only with our family members and society as a whole but when trying to seek medical help for our pain and illness.

MIA has used this document to explain to health professionals and politicians the frustrating plight of many thousands of Australians who are casualties of a failed medical device.  These documents have been used in co-design of a Mesh clinic in NSW. (Click here)
